As climate change didn\u2019t have a Christmas break, I would like to start this year with a post pointing the finger at an old but unfortunately still viable study from 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc1dWe all remember the \u201cKrefeld study\u201d on the loss of insects, which showed us how drastically the population of insects has declined in Germany. The results showed a seasonal decline of 76%, and a mid-summer decline of 82% in flying insect biomass over the 27 years of study. Some of us may have realised the decline of insects as the windshields of our cars have been a lot cleaner during recent summers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2757These dramatic changes and the missing insects have shown us how important it is to restore our biodiversity. Solar parks can make here a great contribution as they are a form of shelter for birds, small animals and insects. Therefore, let\u2019s work together by developing a decentralized renewable power generation, which is built to restore our flora and fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcadDo you have other ideas on how photovoltaic assets can go the extra-mile to protect and help nature to heal?
