🙌Last weekend, I read some great news from the Frauenhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE: Germany has reached a new record high percentage of renewables in its net power generation. 57.7 per cent of the net power generation in the first half of 2023 came from wind energy, photovoltaic systems, hydro power and bio mass. A great improvement from 51.8 per cent in the first half of 2022.
☀Another fantastic and encouraging stat from the report: Germany is on path building out its photovoltaic systems. In the first half of the year, systems generating 5 GW have been installed which means the goal of 9 GW by the end of the year is well in reach. Also, battery storage is steadily increased, with a projected capacity of 11.9 GWh by the end of the year.
🛌So I wrote all this to say: It’s looking great, we’ve done a good job. Now it is time to relax as the rest is easy-peasy. Right? No, of course not! We have much higher targets, which need to be reached in the coming years! But now we will take a small summer break pressing pause on our LinkedIn interactions.
👋Enjoy the summer and make every moment count!Â
