🌞 Exciting News for the renewable energy industry! Yesterday the Ministerpräsidentenkonferenz in Germany has reached a significant milestone with the agreement on the “Pact for Planning, Authorization, and Implementation Acceleration” (“Beschleunigungspakt”).
This pact is designed to streamline, standardize, and expedite approval processes, ensuring the competitiveness of our economy and driving the transformation of our energy system. It involves a comprehensive set of approximately one hundred individual provisions, many of which have long been advocated by the business community to accelerate planning and authorization processes.
🔌 The pact contains many practical steps that will accelerate the expansion of renewable energies and the grids and lays a solid foundation for the faster development of critical infrastructure to support our energy and climate goals. Now, it’s imperative that these decisions are promptly put into action, and federal government and states work together seamlessly in planning and authorization procedures.
