⚡One of the German government’s major climate targets is to cover at least 80 percent of Germany’s electricity needs from renewable energy by 2030. Over my last posts, I have already outlined that Germany will not be able to achieve its ambitious goals if the expansion of solar energy is not significantly increased.
💡Fortunately, the message has now reached the Federal Ministry of Economics: Photovoltaics plays a major role in the strategy presented last Friday by Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck. The strategy envisages that open spaces will be released more easily for development with photovoltaic systems. Photovoltaic systems on roofs are to become the rule, and approval procedures of grid connection points are to be speeded up. Furthermore, the production of the PV hardware should be scaled up in Germany and Europe to strengthening our independence. Another major issue is also tackled in this position paper and that´s the necessity of many highly motivated hands to make the energy transition happening.
😍 I am thrilled that the German government has acknowledged the vital role of photovoltaics in the energy transition, and I eagerly anticipate the implementation of this strategy in the coming years.
🙏 I urge people of all ages— youngsters, mid ager, best ager and grey hairs—who want to actively participate in changing the world to join the energy transition. Without you, the ambitious targets cannot be achieved!
